155th anniversary of the First Battle of Manassas, Saturday, 7/23, 8:30am-5pm. Manassas National Battlefield, Manassas, VA: Learn about the First Battle of Manassas through living history demonstrations and 60-90 minute walking tours led by park rangers. This is a free event.
9th Annual Del Ray Music Festival, Saturday, 7/23, 3-8pm. Corner of Mt. Vernon Ave. and Oxford Avenue, Alexandria, VA: Local musicians will perform on two stages at this free outdoor concert. Mount Vernon Avenue will be closed to traffic for the three blocks adjacent to the stage, and seven of Del Ray's top restaurants will host pop-up beer gardens. This is a free event.
Clifton Film Fest, Saturday, 7/23, doors open at 7. Workhouse Arts Center, Lorton, VA: A showcase of original films made by local talent. Doors open at 7 for live music and food trucks, films will begin at 8:30. Admission is $12 per person.
