Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.
Experience colonial life at
The Colonial Market and Fair at George Washington’s Mt. Vernon this weekend. Artisans decked out in period attire will demonstrate 18
th century crafts and sell traditional wares. The Colonial Market and Fair is included with the cost of admission to Mt. Vernon.
The
Prince William Forest Park Heritage Festival is on Saturday from 11am-5pm. Enjoy live entertainment and crafts while reliving history at a colonial-era farmland, a Civilian Conservation Corps work camp, and a World War II era spy training camp. A food vendor will also be on-site. This is a free event.
The
King Street Art Festival is happening this weekend in Old Town Alexandria. This annual festival features over six blocks of artwork. In addition to art, there will be live entertainment and hands-on activities. The festival is free and runs Saturday from 10am-7pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm.
On Saturday in Leesburg is the
Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival. Sample 60 beers, 40 bourbons and lots of barbeque! There will be live music all day. Tickets are cash only.
It’s
Scottish Heritage Weekend: Outlander Style at Carlyle House on Saturday from 12pm-4pm. Enjoy an afternoon of Scottish culture with storytelling, dance and a bagpiper. Tickets are $7 per adult and $3 for children ages 5-12.
It’s preview weekend at
Cox Farms Fall Festival in Centreville. Enjoy slides, live entertainment, hayrides, farm animals, and the Cornundrum corn maze at this extremely popular event. The Fall Festival runs through October 31.
The
Pumpkin Village Fall Festival at the Leesburg Animal Park opens Saturday and will run through November 8. This fall festival features giant slides, hay wagon rides, moon bounces, live animals, pony rides and much more!
