If you’re a foodie, you might want to check out
Epicurience Virginia on Saturday from 1 to 7pm at The Barn at One Loudon in Ashburn. General admission is $95 at the door and includes parking, a souvenir wine glass, live entertainment, culinary and beverage samples, chef demonstrations, and wine education. This is a 21 and older event, so no kiddos.
The Prince William SPCA is holding its
Petoberfest on Saturday from 12 to 4pm at the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge. There will be a pet parade and costume contest, pet adoptions, live entertainment, kid’s activities and more. This is a free event.
The Lee-Fendall House in Alexandria is offering a “
Beyond the Battlefield” walking tour on Saturday at 10am. During the 2.5 hour tour, participants will see locations and stories associated with soldiers, citizens, and the enslaved, including the occupation of Alexandria and emancipation. Tickets are $15 in advance through the museum’s online store or $20 at the door.
Experience colonial life at the 18
th Century
Colonial Market Fair at the Claude Moore Colonial Farm in McLean. Be entertained by Market Fair entertainers, tradesmen, and the militia while shopping at the various tradesmen and merchant’s stalls. The Market Fair runs Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 4:30. Admission is $8 for adults, $3 for children aged 3-12, $4 for seniors, and children under 3 are free. Visit the website to see the various discounts available for military, AAA, etc.
The
Madhaunter’s Madhouse maze of terror opens up this weekend at the Workhouse Arts Center. Admission is $20 and can be purchased online. This is a scary event and not recommended for children under the age of 13.
Visit local artists in their personal studios at the
Great Falls Annual Studio Tour. Artists will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5. This is a free, family-friendly event.
