Vernon Estate this Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm as they do demonstrations and hands-on activities. The Horses in Action Equestrian Demonstration event is included with the cost of general admission.

Also happening this Saturday at George Washington’s Mt. Vernon is the Rescheduled Christmas Illuminations from 5:30 to 8:15 pm. The cost is $30 for fireworks only and $35 for fireworks with mansion tour. Children aged 6-12 are $20.

The last Pop-Up Holiday Happenings on Upper King Street is this Saturday from 2 to 4 pm at the park area at the intersection of N. Fayette and King in Old Town Alexandria. This week’s activity will be toy making and game playing. While there, you can bring your unwrapped gifts to the gift-wrapping station and help support the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Waterskiing Santa is an Old Town Alexandria Christmas Eve tradition that you don’t want to miss. The best place to watch is Waterfront Park, but you can also view from Alexandria City Marina, Founders Park, and Point Lumley Park.
