Happy Friday! Here’s a look at what’s happening throughout the region this weekend.

Fridays at the Fountain is a free concert and pop-up beer garden in Crystal City that occurs every Friday beginning in May and runs through October. This completely free event is from 5 pm to 9 pm. Food from the area’s favorite vendors will be available for purchase at The Stand.  This Friday will feature a performance by The Crimestoppers.

The Rosslyn Cinema – Outdoor Movie Festival is back for the summer. Every Friday at dusk will feature a free viewing of popular movies. The fun starts at 5 pm with games, food trucks, and a beer garden. This Friday’s movie is Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The Celebrate Fairfax Festival is Friday through Sunday at the Fairfax Government Center. Enjoy live music, carnival rides, games, contests, and more. General Admission cost varies and includes all concert access, parking, and shuttles to/from festival parking lots. There is an additional fee for carnival rides.

The Tinner Hill Music Festival is this Saturday from 11 am – 9 pm in Falls Church. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Go back in time at Lee-Fendall House this Saturday starting with The General’s Tour – Robert E. Lee in Alexandria. Take a tour of the Confederate general’s life in Alexandria and learn about his divided loyalties between Virginia and the United States. The tour starts at 10 am and will last approximately 90 minutes. Tickets are $15 at the door. At 2 pm take the Women of Lee-Fendall House Tour and learn about the experiences of the women who have lived at the property and their impacts. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Visit a Civil War camp at Fort Ward Museum and Historic Site. Reenactors will interpret soldier and civilian life in camps. There will be tours and kid’s activities, in addition to drills and firing demonstrations. This event is Saturday from 10 am – 4 pm and is weather dependent. Admission is $2 per person or $5 for families.

Meet Alexandria residents from the past the 2nd Sunday of every month at Facetime with History at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum in Old Town Alexandria. This Sunday museum guests will meet retired President Thomas Jefferson who will discuss his life. This event runs from 1 pm to 5 pm and is included with general admission to the museum.

Celebrate the birthday of Frank Lloyd Wright this Sunday with a picnic at The Pope–Leighey House from 1 pm to 5 pm. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
