Restaurant Week is here! Whether you’re a foodie or just like a great bargain, restaurant week is a wonderful opportunity to try out different local restaurants on a budget! If there's a restaurant you been wanting to try, this is the week to do it! Restaurant week happens twice a year, so if you miss out, you'll have to wait until winter for the chance to eat at some of the best area restaurants at a great price. Many of the more popular restaurants book up quickly so be sure to visit the restaurant's website to make sure seating is available and to make reservations.
Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week runs August 17-23, 2015, and features more than 200 restaurants, including many in Fairfax County. The anticipated, week-long event is presented by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) and features a long list of participating restaurants that offer a three course prix-fixe meal at a set price. You can enjoy a 3 course lunch for $22 or a three course dinner for $35. Prices are per person and do not include beverages or gratuity. Cuisines include Contemporary American, Mexican, French, Mediterranean, Italian, Southern, Seafood, Spanish, California, Pan-Asian and more! This year we get to extend restaurant week in Northern Virginia because Alexandria’s Restaurant Week runs August 21-30, 2015. More than 60 Alexandria restaurants are participating this year and are offering a $35 three course dinner or a $35 dinner for two. More than two dozen restaurants are also offering lunch specials at $10, $15 or $20 per person in addition to their dinner specials. There are many new restaurants participating this year, as well as new drink and dessert options being offered in addition to the three course meals. Alexandria's Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to explore the unique neighborhoods of Old Town, Del Ray, and the West End and enjoy food ranging from local casual favorites to fine dining.
