Here’s what’s happening in our area this weekend. Unfortunately, Saturday’s rainy forecast has caused some cancellations, but hopefully everyone will still have a fantastic weekend!
25th Annual Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival – Reston Town Center, Reston VA. Saturday, 5/21 10am-6pm & Sunday, 5/22 10am – 5pm. Spend the weekend viewing fine art and crafts. There will also be art demonstrations and family friendly art-focused activities. This annual festival is listed as one of the top 50 shows in the country! This is a free event, but a $5 donation to the Greater Reston Arts Center is suggested.
Loudoun County Spring Farm Tour - Saturday, 5/21 & Sunday, 5/22 10am – 4pm. This is a free, self-guided tour of Loudoun County’s agricultural lands. See website for participating locations.
Colonial Market Fair - Claude Moore Colonial Farm, McLean, VA. Saturday, 5/21 & Sunday, 5/22 11am – 4:30pm. This is the first Market Fair of the season. Plan some spring planting by purchasing herb and flowering plants. Shop for clothes, jewelry or visit the children’s puppet theatre. Take a break from shopping and enjoy a lunch of fresh veggies, roast chicken, sweets from the Sweets Stand or visit the tavern for some wine or ale. Admission: $8 Adults, $3 Children 3-12, under 3 are free.
McLean Day – Lewinsville Park, McLean, VA. Saturday, 5/21 10:30am – 5pm. Enjoy a day of carnival rides, food trucks, live music, petting zoo, and more! There will be tons of family friendly activities at McLean’s most popular event. This is a free event.
Annual Strawberry Festival – Oatlands Historic House and Gardens, Leesburg, VA. Sunday, 5/22 11am-4pm. Start the summer season with strawberries! The 2
nd Annual Strawberry Festival is a tradition from when the Eustis family held festivals in the early 1900s. Enjoy hayrides, family friendly activities, vendors, concessions and of course u-pick strawberries. Admission: $20 per family, $10 per individual, children 5 and under are free.
