Spring Farm Day, Frying Pan Park, Herndon, VA. Saturday 5/14, 10am – 3pm. Meet Frying Pan Parks newest baby animals and learn about life on the farm by participating in hands-on farm activities. Admission: $7/Person in advance, $8/Person at the door. Kids under 2 are free.
Family Day Event - Transportation Theme 2016, National Museum of the Marine Corps, Triangle, VA. Saturday 5/14, 12pm – 3pm. Learn about how transporting Marines has changed over the years. This is a free event.
Occoquan’s River Fest, Occoquan Regional Park, Lorton, VA. Saturday 5/14, 10am – 4pm. Spend the day along the Occoquan River and enjoy family friendly activities, including complimentary boat rides on the Miss River Shore. 20+ conservation and recreation organizations will be present! This is a free event, but there may be fees for some of the activities.
Second Saturday Art Walk, Workhouse Art Center, Lorton, VA. Saturday 5/14 6pm – 9pm. View new exhibits during extended gallery hours. There will be champagne, wine, craft beer and live entertainment available. This is a free event.
Taste of Arlington, in front of Ballston Common Mall, Arlington, VA. Sunday 5/15, 12pm – 6pm. Sample food from over 40 restaurants, try out new brews at the beer & wine garden while listening to live music. Take the kids to the KidZone for games and activities or take your dog the BarkPark to run around. Tickets: $10 BarkPark entry, $20 KidZone book for games, $40 Taste Book.
Book Talk: "Lafayette: Lessons in Leadership from the Idealist General” Manassas Musuem, Manasas, VA. Sunday 5/15, 1:30pm. Author Marc Leepson will discuss his book about the fascinating life of the Marquis de Lafayette. This is a free event.
