Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.

Fairfax Restaurant Week is March 4 – 10. Participating restaurants will offer a $35 three course dinner and $20 three course lunch/brunch. This is a great opportunity to try out a new restaurant at a discount!

The 55th Annual Needlework Show & Sale runs from March 1 -31 at Woodlawn and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Pope-Leighey House. Tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for K-12 students, and children 5 and under are free. Reservations for many of the special events can be made online.

The DC Big Flea Market is Saturday and Sunday at the Dulles Expo & Conference Center. This is the Mid-Atlantic’s largest indoor flea market with over 700 booths. Admission is $10 which is good for both days.

Old Town Alexandria is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this Saturday starting with a Classic Car Show from 9:30 to 11am on Pitt St. and a Fun Dog Show from 11am to 12pm at Market Square. The 37th Annual Alexandria St. Patrick’s will begin at 12:15pm along King St.

Experience life the way it was in the 19th century at Carlyle House in Alexandria this Saturday. This free event runs from 12 to 4pm. Donations are appreciated.
