Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.
Because of the wind storm, The Annual Alexandria St. Patrick’s Day Parade is rescheduled for this Sunday at 1:30. The new route will start at the intersection of King and St. Asaph Streets and end at the intersection of Pitt and Cameron Streets. The parade starts at 1:30. The Fun Dog Show is scheduled from 11:30 am to 1 pm at Market Square.
The Virginia Bronze March Handbell Concert: Spring Fling is Sunday from 4 to 5:30 pm at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria. Tickets ate $10 for adults, $8 for seniors. And $5 for children. Tickets for adults can be purchased online and all tickets can be purchased at the door.
Sunday’s Free Book Talk at the Manassas Museum will feature author Paula Tarnapol who will discuss her book "A Civil Life in an Uncivil Time - Julia Wilbur's Struggle for Purpose." The free talk will begin at 1:30.
The 2018 Woodlawn Needlework Show & Sale is happening through the month of March. Tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for K-12 students, and children 5 and under are free. Reservations for many of the special events can be made online.
Ticonderoga’s Weekend Easter Egg Hunts & Activities will run every weekend through April 8th from 9:30 am to 5pm. In addition to egg hunts, there are giant slides, hayrides, farm animals and more. Admission is $14.95 for kids 2 and up, and $12.95 for adults.
The Big Apple Circus will be at National Harbor through April 1. Tickets can be purchased online.
