The Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia is putting on a Friday Evening Chamber Concert at 7:30pm at the Durant Arts Center in Old Town Alexandria. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door and are $15 per person with kids under 5 free.

The Greater Manassas St. Patrick’s Day Parade is on Saturday from 11am to 12:30pm. The parade begins on the corner of Quarry Rd. and Prescott Ave. in Old Town Manassas.

The Workhouse Arts Center in Occoquan is hosting its Second Saturday Art Walk from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday. This is a great opportunity to view the works of featured artists during extended hours.

Sunday’s Book Talk at the Manassas Museum will feature Author Douglas Crenshaw who will discuss his latest book, “The Battle of Glendale.” The talk begins at 1:30 and is free.

If you love needlework, the 54th Annual Needlework Show and Sale is happening this month at Woodlawn and Pope-Leighey House in Alexandria. The show runs through March 31 and is open every day but Tuesday from 10am to 4pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for K-12 students, and kids under 5 are free. Visit the events calendar for information about special programs and events. Many of the presentations have limited seating available.
