First, a big congratulations to the Washington Capitals on their first Stanley Cup win! Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend if you’re looking for something to do now that the hockey season is over.

Celebrate Fairfax is this weekend and runs Friday through Sunday at the Fairfax County Government Center. There will live band performances on the main stage in addition to other live entertainment throughout the grounds, a full carnival, 5k race, and much more. Ticket prices vary depending on package so visit the festival website for more information.

The 25th Annual Tinner Hill Blues Festival runs Friday through Sunday in Falls Church. Friday features a block party at Market Square and tickets are $10 at the door. Saturday is an all-day Blues concert with tickets being $30 at the door, kids 12 and under are free with paying adult. Sunday is A Message in the Music – A Concert & Conversation on Social Justice Past & Present. Check out the festival website for additional details on locations and ticket pricing.

Chalk on the Water at Lane Anne in Reston is Saturday and Sunday. This two-day street art festival is open to participants of all skill levels and prizes will be awarded in all categories. Participation fees vary depending on skill level.

It’s Second Saturday Art Walk () at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton. Enjoy extended hours and meet featured artists at this monthly event. This is a free event.
