Once the holiday season is over, I’m ready for spring to hurry up and get here. However, since there’s no rushing through the cold months of January and February a great way to make winter fun is to visit one of the many ski resorts that are a just a short drive from Northern Virginia. Many are close enough that you can easily wake up early, go skiing, snowboarding, or tubing and drive home all in one day! Below is a list of some of the more popular resorts that are under a five hour drive from Northern Virginia.
