For all the foodies out there, Alexandria Winter Restaurant Week is January 26 – February 4. Over 60 restaurants will offer a $35 three-course dinner for one or a $35 dinner for two. Many will also offer lunch specials at $10, $15, or $20 per person. This is a great opportunity to explore the unique character of Alexandria’s various neighborhoods and their eateries. Be sure to make reservations early, the more popular restaurants get booked up quickly.

The Reston Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration runs January 13 -15. Visit the Reston Community Center website for the full schedule of activities.
Friday’s Bonita Lestina Performance Series at Old Town Hall in Fairfax will feature brass ensemble, National Brass Quintet playing “Music of all Times for all Ages.” This is a free event.
Enjoy extended hours and a chance to meet the resident artists at the Second Saturday Art Walk at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton. This free event runs from 6 to 9pm.
If you’re an L. M. Montgomery fan, the opening of Anne of Green Gables the Musical is this Sunday at The Little Theatre of Alexandria and will run for 3 weeks. Ticket prices range from $27-$32.
