Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend. Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival – Frying Pan Farm Park, Herndon. The 4-H Fair and Carnival is a weekend long event that mixes old-fashion country fair with carnival rides and games. There will be live entertainment, animal exhibits, food, and much more! Admission is free, but parking is $8 per vehicle. 26th Annual Manassas African-American Heritage Festival – Metz Middle School, Manassas, Saturday 12-6pm. This family friendly celebration of African-American art and culture features over 125 exhibiters including arts and crafts dealers, retailers of African Wares, youth groups, colleges and school exhibits, Health Fair, Business and Job Expos, Classic Car Show and great food vendors. Admission is free. We Share STEM! Connecting Across Cultures – Udvar-Hazy Center, Dulles, Saturday 10am-3pm. This family day at the Udvar-Hazy Air and Space Museum celebrates global advances in science, math, technology, and engineering. Learn about advances in robotics, aerospace design, and aviation from the scientists and engineers who are active in these fields. Admission is free, but parking is $15. If you’re in the mood for live entertainment, there are some great free concerts happening through Fairfax County’s Summer Entertainment in the Parks program.
