Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.

Rosslyn Cinema and Pub in the Park is a weekly event every Friday in Gateway Park in Arlington. Bring a blanket and enjoy your favorite beverage from the mobile pub or get some popcorn and more from one the local food trucks. This week’s movie is Argo. The movie starts at dusk, but the Pub and the Park opens at 5pm.

The 70th Annual 4-H Fair and Carnival runs all weekend at Frying Pan Park in Herndon. See livestock and 4-H exhibits while enjoying carnival rides, games, and live entertainment. Admission is free, tickets must be purchased for carnival rides and games.

The African American Culture Arts Festival is Saturday from 11 am to 6pm at Metz Middle School in Manassas. There will be an art & craft gallery, history gallery, food festival, live entertainment, and more. Admission is free.

The Workhouse Arts Center Brewfest is Saturday from 1 to 8 pm in Lorton. Over 30 Virginia craft breweries. Artisan distilleries, and Virginia wineries will be represented while you enjoy live entertainment, access to artist studios, food trucks, and more. Tickets are $45 at the gate and includes unlimited beer and wine tastings. A designated driver ticket is available for $25.

  • Ossian Hall Park, Annandale – Bavaria Cultural Heritage Night 'Alt Washingtonia Schuhplattler Verein' (Alpine Dance & Music). 7:30-8:30 pm
  • Trinity Center Parkway, Centreville – Little Mermaid (Drive-in Movies). Games/activities start at 6pm, movie begins at dark.
  • Arrowbrook Centre Park, Herndon – The British Invasion Years (60s, British Invasion Rock). 7:30-8:30 pm
  • Lubber Run Amphitheater, Arlington - Hardway Connection. 8pm

Sunday 8/5

  • Lubber Run Amphitheater, Arlington – U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble (Jazz). 6pm
