Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.

Rosslyn Cinema and Pub in the Park is a weekly event every Friday in Gateway Park in Arlington. Bring a blanket and enjoy your favorite beverage from the mobile pub or get some popcorn and more from one the local food trucks. This week’s movie is The Lion King. The movie starts at dusk, but the Pub in the Park opens at 5pm.

Fridays at the Fountain is Crystal City’s seasonal pop-up beer garden that features live music from local bands and musicians. Admission is free and food and drink are available for purchase. Fridays at the Fountain is every Friday from 5-9pm.

The Arlington County Fair runs through this weekend at the Jefferson Community Center in Arlington. There is both indoor and outdoor entertainment, carnival rides, competitive exhibits, kid’s activities, and more. Admission is free but tickets are required for rides. All activities at the indoor stage, outdoor stage and kid’s court are free. There is no parking on site but a shuttle service is available. See the website for shuttle locations.

Saturday is the last day of the Prince William County Fair at the Prince William County Fairgrounds in Manassas. This is one of the largest county fairs in Virginia and features, livestock exhibits, tractor pulls, a rodeo, demolition derbies, live entertainment, carnival rides, and more. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children and seniors. Under 4 and Active Military are free. Carnival rides are not included in the price of admission.

Alexandria Restaurant Week starts today and runs through 8/26. This is a great opportunity to enjoy discount meals at some of the area’s most popular restaurants. Over 60 Alexandria restaurants will feature a $35 three-course dinner or a $35 dinner for two. Over 25 restaurants will also offer special lunch menus at $15 or $22 per person. There are also 15 restaurants offering $15 or $22 per person brunch menus.   • Burke Lake Park Amphitheater, Fairfax Station – The grandsons, jr(Children's Songs). 10-11am
  • E.C. Lawrence Park Amphitheater, Chantilly – Mr. Gabe & the Circle Time All-Stars (Children's Songs) 10-11am
  • Mason District Park Amphitheater, Annandale – 123 Andrés (Children's Songs). 10-11am
  • Ossian Hall Park, Annandale – Irish Cultural Heritage Night 'Irish Breakfast Band' (Irish Dance & Music) 7:30-8:30pm
  • Trinity Center Parkway, Centreville – Lego Batman Movie (Drive-in Movies). Gates open at 6 with free activities and live entertainment. The movie will begin at dark.
  • Arrowbrook Centre Park, Herndon – David Bach Consort (Jazz). 7:30-8:30pm
  • Workhouse Arts Center, Lorton - Bill and the Belles (Country, Roots). 7-8pm

Sunday 8/19

  • Mason District Park Amphitheater, Annandale – The United States Air Force - Airmen of Note (Big Band, Jazz). 7:30-8:30pm
