Here’s a look at some of the events that are happening in our area this weekend.

It’s Fairfax History Day at Historic Blenheim in Fairfax this Saturday from 10am to 5pm. There will be hayrides and pony rides, kid’s activities, period dance and music, historians, living history, and much more. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 3-12, and free for 2 and under. There is no parking at Blenheim site but there is a free shuttle from Fairfax High School.

The 33rd Annual Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts Festival runs through May 12. This three-week festival features, exhibits, art installations, live performances, and more. Check out the schedule for events and locations.

Does your kid love trucks? The 8th Annual Spring-Mar Touch-A-Truck Festival is this Saturday from 10am to 2pm at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke. Kids can sit in their favorite vehicle whether it’s a fire truck, police car, trash truck, or construction vehicle. There will be other activities including a moon bounce, face paint, and more. Tickets are $5 with kids under 12 months free and can be purchased online or at the door.

The 25th Annual Alexandria Earth Day is Saturday from 10am to 2pm. There will be exhibits and activities for all ages. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike or take public transit. DASH will be offering free rides from 9:30am to 3pm so be sure to go online and print your pass!

Grab your binoculars and enjoy a guided walk through the Julie J. Metz Neabsco Creek Wetlands Preserve this Saturday at 8am in Woodbridge. Bird watch with local birding and nature experts and discover the diverse bird population that resides at the preserve. This is a free event, but donations are welcome.

Head out to Bristow for the Classic Car Cruise-In and 2nd Annual Art in the Park this Saturday from 10am to 3pm at the Brentsville Courthouse Historic Centre. View Classic Cars and enjoy the art of local artists and students. There will be art activities and workshops in addition to food trucks. The Historic Courthouse will be open for self-guided tours. This is a free event.

Alexandria Love Your Pet Day is this Sunday from 11am to 2pm in Alexandria’s West End. There will all sorts of activities and demonstrations for your pet. There will also be balloon animals, face painting and more for the kids. This is a free event.
