Here’s a look at what’s happening throughout our area this weekend.

The 33rd Annual Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts Festival begins Friday, April 20th and will run through May 12th. This Three-week festival features theatre, dance, music, art exhibits, and more. Check out the schedule for the list of events and their locations.

The 6th Annual Arlington Festival of the Arts runs from 10am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday in the Clarendon district of Arlington. A variety of media will be on display at this weekend long outdoor art show. Admission is free.

The 2nd Annual Arlington Palooza is Saturday from 1 to 4 pm at Alcova Heights Park in Arlington. There will be live music, art, games, moon bounces, food vendors, and more. This is a free event.

The 12th Annual Live Well Festival is this Saturday from 8am to 2pm in Manassas. This year’s festival will start with a running race of 5k, 10k, or 1 mile. There will be kid’s activities, live entertainment, and fitness classes throughout the day. The festival is free, but there is a fee if you want to run in the race.

Tour the historic homes and gardens of Old Town Alexandria this Saturday during Historic Garden Week. The tour runs from 10am to 4pm. Day of tickets are $55 per person and includes admission to two Garden Club of Virginia restoration projects, George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens, and Green Spring Gardens, and to other local properties of historic interest.

The Friends of Carlyle House Annual Garden Day Herb and Craft Sale is Saturday from 8 am to 4pm in Alexandria. There will be live music, a bake sale, a book sale, and more. The Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia will be available to answer your gardening questions. This event if free, but regular admission fees apply if you want to tour the Carlyle House museum.

Sunday’s Free Book Talk at the Manassas Museum will feature author Rebecca Boggs Roberts who will discuss her book, “Suffragist in Washington DC: The 1913 Parade and the Fight for the Vote.” The talk will begin at 1:30pm.
