Here’s a look at what’s happening this weekend.

The Fall Harvest Days and Fall Carnival at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon, VA. Is this weekend. The carnival opens Friday evening and runs through the entire weekend. Harvest days is Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm and includes farm demonstrations, a cider press, opportunities to milk cows, and more. Admission and parking are free. Tickets must be purchased for carnival rides.

City of Fairfax Fall Festival in Old Town Fairfax is Saturday 10am to 8:30pm. There will be art and craft vendors, kid’s activities, live entertainment, a beer garden, and much more. Admission is free.

It’s the second Saturday of the month which means Second Saturday Art Walk at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton. This is an opportunity to meet the resident artists during extended hours. This event is free and runs from 6 to 9pm.

You can catch the end of the Fall for the Book Festival which ends on Saturday and includes many events at GMU and throughout the region. Saturday will feature a special Children’s Day at GMU’s Old Town Hall.

The Northern Virginia Model Railroaders, Inc is holding an open house at their headquarters in Vienna this Saturday from 1 to 5pm. Visitors can view their model train display and learn more about the hobby.

There will be a number of special events at the Bristoe Station Battlefield to remember the 154th anniversary of the Battle of Bristoe Station. Events are free but a $5 donation is recommended.

Saturday is Scottish Heritage Day at Carlyle House in Old Town Alexandria. This free event goes from 12 to 4pm and includes Scottish music, dancing, fashion, and tours of the Carlyle House.
