Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.

It will be a Winter Wonderland at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station this Saturday and Sunday. This event will feature Holiday Express Train Rides, Caroler’s Carousel, Gingerbread Man’s Golf, and even a visit from Santa. Entry to the park is free for Fairfax County residents. Tickets are required for the various activities.

It’s Winterfest in Occoquan ! This all-day celebration starts with a parade along Harbor Drive at 11am that will end at Tackett’s Mill where there will be a Holiday Arts Market until 3pm. The Town of Occoquan will have bonfires, caroling, and more from 4 to 7pm. The Workhouse Arts Center’s Second Saturday Art Walk will run from 6 to 9pm and feature holiday themed activities. The day will end with a fireworks display from 8 to 8:30 pm that can be viewed from the Occoquan Regional Park or Hoffmaster’s Marina.

Santa will be at Rippon Lodge in Woodbridge from 1 to 3 pm this Saturday. The cost is $2 per child. While there, you can enjoy a Holidays through the Ages tour where various rooms will be decorated to represent different time periods. The tour costs $5 per person, children 6 and under are free.

Parkridge Center in Manassas is hosting a Mistletoe Magic Holiday Festival from 2 to 6pm on Saturday. There will be holiday music, crafts, games, sweet treats, and a visit from Santa.

Enjoy a Breakfast with Historic Santa at the Old Manassas Courthouse this Saturday from 10am to 12pm. The cost is $5 per adult, $10 per child, children under 2 are free. Reservations are required. Crafts and pictures with Santa will be open until 3pm and the cost is $2 per child.

Experience a Civil War Christmas at Fort Ward in Alexandria this Saturday from 12 to 4pm. Tour the winter camp, see the decorated Officers’ Hut, and meet the Union Santa. Cost is $2 per person, $5 for families.

There will be free carriage rides through Historic Downtown Manassas on Sunday from 1 to 4pm. The rides will begin at the Train Depot.
