Here’s a look at what’s happening in our area this weekend.

Friday’s Cinema and Pub in the Park at Gateway Park in Rosslyn will feature When Harry Met Sally. Food trucks will be available, including a popcorn food truck. Beer and wine can be purchased from the Pub in the Park. This is a free event and will be canceled in the event of rain.

The Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival will run from 8/3 - 8/6 at Frying Pan Park in Herndon. There will be carnival rides, live entertainment, live animal demonstrations, wagon rides, and much more. Admission is free, but tickets or unlimited ride wristbands are required for the carnival rides.

The Manassas African American Heritage Festival of Prince William County is Saturday from 11am to 6pm at Metz Middle School. There will be live entertainment, over 125 exhibiters, free children’s activities, and more. Admission is free.

Spend the day shopping and eating at PizzaFest at Clarendon Park in Arlington this Saturday from 11am to 7pm. There will be food (mostly pizza), beverages, arts and crafts, and live entertainment. Admission is free.

Sunday’s Free Book Talk at the Manassas Museum will feature author, David T. Gilbert, who will discuss his book “Civil War Battlefields: Walking the Trails of History.” The start time if this free event is 1:30.
